OCALA - Ivory TCS (Falaise de Muze x Ukato) and Daniel Coyle (IRE) took a fantastic second place in the Winter Spectacular XI 1.50m Grand Prix in Ocala (USA).
VERDEN - An average score of no less than 8.39 was Zinelord VDL's result at the sport test for approved stallions in Verden (DE).
LIER - Qastaar Castanoo (Hardrock Z x Cardento) won the CSIYH1* final of the seven- and eight-year-olds over 1.35-1.40m in Lier (BEL) under Jules Van Hoydonck (BEL).
LIER - Just the Way (Zirocco Blue VDL x Hemmingway) and Virginie Thonon (BEL) finished handsomely third in the CSI2* Grand Prix over 1.45m in Lier (BEL).
PARIS - Grand Slam VDL (Cardento 'Elite' x Heartbreaker) and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) went fantastically clear twice at the CSI5* tournament in Paris (FRA). They finished tenth in the 1.60m Grand Prix and ninth in the 1.50m.
STAPHORST - Out of 100 participants, Yvonne Vaartjes' Nillandra (Glasgow v/h Merelsnest) was declared the most talented horse of the Morrenhof Jansen Young Horse Training. Nillandra was presented by Maxim Peeters.
VEJER DE LA FRONTERA - Equine America G Camille HBF (Zirocco Blue x San Patrignano Cassini), ridden by Karl Robbins GBR), secured second place in the CSI4* 1.55m Grand Prix of Vejer de la Frontera (ESP).
SAMORIN - Ibiza-D (Baltic VDL x Emilion) and Miloslav Prihoda (CZ) finished handsomely fifth in the CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix in Samorin (SVK). Seventh place was for Jojo Jk Sr (Etoulon VDL x Cassini I) and Bronislav Chudyba (SLO).
'S-HERTOGENBOSCH - Comthago VDL and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) finished fifth at the CSI5* competition The Dutch Masters in 's-Hertogenbosch (NED). They also stayed clear in the exciting jump-off.
ZANGERSHEIDE - The four-year-old stallion Boston VDL (Baltic out of the Zirocco Blue mare Jeune Dame) has been approved for Studbook Zangersheide.

BALKBRUG - Icarinda (Etoulon x Ukato) and Wesley de Boer (NED) won the 1.45m Grand Prix in Balkbrug. Icarina also stayed clear in the jump-off and set the fastest time.
STADL-PAURA - Nanthago R-E (Comthago VDL) emerged champion in Stadl-Paura in Austria during the two-day sport test.
DUBAI - Caramba 102 (Chin Chin x Aldato) won the CSI2* 1.45m Dubai Grand Prix under Moh'd Shafi Mohamed Alremeithi (UAE).
VALENCIA - Denis Z (Dakar VDL x Classido) took third place in the CSI2* Grand Prix in Valencia over 1.45m under Laura Roquet Puignero (ESP).
WELLINGTON - Gisborne VDL, the VDL Stud-bred son of Zirocco VDL, was fourth in the CSI3* 1.55m Grand Prix in Wellington (USA). Under Daniel Coyle (IRE), Gisborne VDL jumped two fantastic clear rounds.
BESIEKIERZ RUDNY - Kad`or Impress (Impressive VDL x Global Express), owned by Martha Kwiatkowska (POL), was approved at the AES Stallion Grading in Besiekierz Rudny, Poland. Kad`or was among the top six stallions at this.

EXLOO - Lareusa S (Toulon) and Sander Naber won the Regional Championships Drenthe over 1.35m in Exloo. Lareusa S is owned by VDL Stud. In the 1.40m, Ofichem's Finn (Zirocco Blue VDL) and Weite Oldenziel won.
NEUMÜNSTER - Zuccero (Zirocco Blue VDL) and Rolf-Göran Brengtsson (SWE) won the CSI3* 1.60m Grand Prix in Neumünster (GER). But the 11-year-old Zuccero was not the only Zirocco Blue offspring to make himself heard.
SJARJAH - There were big successes for Arezzo offspring last weekend. Notable were the results in Sharjah (UAE), where Julius D (Arezzo VDL x Emilion), under the saddle of Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA), impressed again.
THERMAL - The 11-year-old, fast Orafina (For Fashion x Canturo), bred by VDL Stud and Y. Walda of Wommels, won the $226,000 CSI4* Grand Prix over 1.55m in Thermal (USA) under rider Kent Farrington (USA).
RIESENBECK - McAllister VDL (Inaico x Emilion) went three clear rounds at the CSIYH1* young horse classes for six- and seven-year-olds over 1.20m and 1.25m in Riesenbeck (GER).
SHARJAH - The CSI4*-W Nations Cup in Sharjah (UAE) delivered victory to the British team, with Hulahupe JR (Bubalu VDL x Indoctro) under Joe Whitaker (GBR) and Imperial HBF (Glasgow van 't Merelsnest) ridden by Tim Gredley (GBR).
BORDEAUX - VDL Edgar M (Arezzo VDL) and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA) won the CSI5*-W World Cup competition over 1.60m in Bordeaux (FRA). With Grand Slam VDL, Zanotelli came fantastic second in the CSI5* Grand Prix over 1.60m.

EXLOO - Oventa Kieni (Karaldo VDL) was the best jumping-bred mare at the IBOP in Exloo yesterday with 85 points. For technique, the NMK mare received a 9 and thus she was also declared Elite.
OLIVA - Hayden (Baltic VDL x Vaillant) and Eva Gautschi (SUI) won the CSI3* 1.40m competition in Oliva. Two clear rounds and a barracks time over a second faster than number two brought victory for the duo.

ABU DHABI - Julius D (Arezzo VDL x Emilion), ridden by Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA), won the CSIO5*-NC MEast over 1.50m in Abu Dhabi (UAE). Julius also outclassed the other 58 competitors in the 1.45m.
Under Marlon Zanotelli, our own and homebred Harwich VDL jumped to a nice 2nd place in the 1.50m class.

VECHTA - Premium stallion cat.no 21 (Glasgow van 't Merelsnest x Castino) fetched €140,000 at the Oldenburg International Elite Auction. This made the stallion the second most expensive jumper sold in the auction.
VECHTA - VDL Stud's three-year-old Zirocco Blue x Indorado x Stakkato stallion has been approved at the Oldenburg Equestrian Centre in Vechta (GER) for the Springpferdezuchtverband Oldenburg-International (OS).
Our horses were in shape during CSI Exloo, Jourdain VDL (by Zapatero) jumps to a 2nd place in the 1.45m Grand Prix and Louay Fortuna wins the 1.35m Grand Prix of Exloo. VDL Kelton (by Bubalu) won a 1.40m class.
OCALA - Karlotta CL (Baltic VDL) and Manuel Torres (CAN) won the 1.30m in Ocala, Florida (USA). Harold (Dallas VDL) and Jelmer Hoekstra (NED) also managed to win a 1.30m class.
WELLINGTON - VDL Stella (Cardento x Baloubet du Rouet), ridden by Hannah Hink (USA), finished seventh in the 1.45m High Amateur Jumper Classic competition in Wellington (USA) and second in the 1.40m High Amateur Jumper competition.
OPGLABBEEK - Comthago VDL is again showing great results in the sport. Under Marlon Modolo Zanotelli (BRA), Comthago vdl managed to take third place in his first CSI2* competition over 1.45m in Opglabbeek (BEL).
EXLOO - With a fine score of 84 points, Merlot VDL and Femke de Laat finished fourth in the Anemone Stallion Competition Class M.
EXLOO - Stargos VDL (Stakkato Gold x Conthargos) delivered another great performance during the Blom Stallion Competition by winning the M class over 1.20m for the third time with his rider Iris Hakvoort
WELLINGTON - Ina (Durango VDL x Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve) finished second in the 1.35m and third in the 1.40m under Shane Sweetnam (IRL) at the New Year's show in Wellington (USA).
MECHELEN - Hallilea (Zirocco Blue x Larome) and Lars Kersten (NED) were double clear in the CSI5*-W competition over 1.50m in Mechelen and took a stunning victory with a fast barracks time.
