Last weekend, we had a fantastic show at Indoor Friesland in Leeuwarden. Our stallions and horses jumped incredibly well and achieved several victories, podium finishes and top placings. The highlights of the show are listed below:
VDL Sambucci de Muze – Luke Hill
Sambucci started Indoor Friesland in great form with a win in the CSI3 SLTN Prix over 1.40m* on the opening day. One day later, another top result followed: in the 1.40m Friese Elfsteden Prix, the combination jumped to a fantastic second place.
VDL Mindset ES – Hessel Hoekstra
A very special victory for Mindset ES in the 1.50m VDL Stud Prix. Hessel and Mindset remained double clear and took the win in the jump-off in the class sponsored by VDL Stud.
Night Life VDL – Luke Hill
Night Life VDL took an important next step in his development: his very first 1.50m class. The young stallion immediately impressed with a clear round and finished in a strong eighth place. In addition, Night Life also achieved a nice fifth place in a 1.45m class during Indoor Friesland.
VDL Mattias – Jur Vrieling
Mattias once again showed that he is developing very well at the highest level. In the concluding 1.55m Grand Prix, Jur and Mattias remained clear in both the first round and the jump-off. With this strong performance, they finished in a fantastic fourth place.
Kelton VDL (Bubalu VDL x Corland) – Annelies Vorsselmans
Kelton VDL, bred by VDL Stud and Y. Walda, qualified for the jump-off of the 1.55m Grand Prix. After a clear first round, Kelton and Annelies eventually finished in an excellent sixth place.
Jucatan VDL (Carrera VDL x Mr. Blue) – Evi Wiefferink
A Grand Prix victory for Jucatan VDL. Evi and Jucatan remained clear and were the fastest combination in the jump-off of the 1.40m CSI1 Grand Prix*. Jucatan VDL was bred by H. and A. Sybrandi-Merkus.
Napardi VDL (Inaico VDL x Kannan) – Annelies Vorsselmans
Our homebred Napardi VDL also showed great form and jumped to a very nice third place in the CSI3 1.40m Haaima Service en Auto’s Prix*.
Stargos VDL – Hessel Hoekstra
Stargos VDL also achieved a placing. Under Hessel Hoekstra, he finished sixth in the CSI3 Horses2Fly Prix over 1.45m*. In addition, he jumped two more nice clear rounds in Leeuwarden.
Matrix VDL – Alexandre Boursier
Matrix VDL also enjoyed a successful Indoor Friesland. Together with Alexandre Boursier, he won the Horses2Fly Competition in the 1.30m class.
With these great results, we can look back on a fantastic and very successful Indoor Friesland, and we are already looking forward to next year.
