During the CSIJ-A competition in Abu Dhabi, several horses with VDL blood once again demonstrated why the VDL lines are among the best in the world. Offspring of Zirocco Blue VDL, Carrera VDL, Brantzau VDL and Arezzo VDL performed strongly in various classes.
Carrera VDL offspring on the podium again
Carrera VDL made his presence felt several times in Abu Dhabi.
In the 1.60m World Cup class (2 phases, both against the clock), Lommers (by Carrera VDL) and rider Sophie Hinners finished in an impressive 6th place with €19,200 in prize money. Breeder: W. Dijk (NED)
In the 1.20m class (1 round + jump-off), Pablo Escobar KJV (by Carrera VDL) and Agusti Sastre Caballero jumped to a strong 2nd place in 39.67 seconds. Breeder: K. van der Scheer – (NED)
Glamour Girl (Zirocco Blue VDL) wins 1.45m Speed Table C
On 25 January, there was success for: Glamour Girl (by Zirocco Blue VDL) jumped to a convincing victory in the 1.45m Speed Table C under Henrik von Eckermann. Breeder: Stoeterij Gaesbeek VOF, Ruinen (NED)
Brantzau VDL son Pink Floyd V&V wins 1.20m
In the same class on 24 January, victory went to Pink Floyd V&V (by Brantzau VDL) under Saif Owaida Mohammed Alkirbi (UAE). With two clear rounds and a lightning-fast 39.19 seconds, the class was won convincingly. H. Voort (NED) is the breeder of the Brantzau son. Earlier in the week, the duo also managed to finish in 8th place.
Arezzo VDL son Kanshebber S takes 2nd place in 1.45m
Arezzo also secured a podium place, with Kanshebber S under Ramzy Al Duhami (KSA) jumping clear to take 2nd place in the 1.45m with jump-off. This earned the pair €5,640 in prize money. Breeder: E.H. Schroembges
Sophie Hinners successful again: 2nd in 1.45m Speed Table C
Finally, two fine podium places for the Cardento daughter: Iron Dames Come Away Flamingo Z (by Cardento) finished second twice in the 1.45m Speed with Sophie Hinners. The Cardento daughter was bred by: S.A.R.L. Cavalex, Paimpont (FRA)
