On 16 January 2026, VDL-bred talents once again excelled during the CSI2* competitions in Opglabbeek, Belgium.
In the 1.40m class, it was Jiniki, the KWPN talent by Dallas VDL, who once again performed strongly. Under Hans-Dieter Dreher, the eight-year-old mare jumped to second place with a clear round in 32.65 seconds. Jiniki is bred by G. Scheper from Ruinen.
In the other 1.40m class on the same day, Branttastisch HDH, a son of Brantzau VDL from Edgar Langen's Holsteiner stud, jumped to victory under Maikel van der Vleuten. With a clear jump-off and a top time of 32.22 seconds, the pair secured first place.
A day earlier, on 15 January, Jiniki had also made a name for herself. The Dallas VDL offspring even won the 1.40m class, again with Dreher in the saddle. The combination recorded a clear round in a convincing 56.62 seconds.
With these performances, both Branttastisch HDH and Jiniki once again confirm the strong jumping ability of Brantzau VDL and Dallas VDL, and underline the continued presence of VDL blood in international top-level sport.
