VDL offspring dominate in Doha with three international victories

Doha, Al Shaqab (QAT) – April 2026 – During the FEI Group 7 Finals in Doha, VDL-bred show jumpers achieved an impressive run of victories. They dominated the podium across various levels, from Young Riders to U25.

In the Young Riders team final (1.30m) on 17 April, Mona Lansia M (by Carrera) jumped to victory under Qatari rider Ahmad Jassim A A Al Suwaidi. The pair rode clear and clocked a time of 73.45 seconds, leading their team to gold. The Carrera-daughter is bred by E. Mulder.

At a higher level, in the U25 class (1.45m), it was another success for a VDL horse. Billy Martini (by Zirocco Blue), bred by Donal Barnwell, won convincingly with rider Omar Abdul Aziz Al Marzooqi. In a clear-round jump-off, the pair clocked a fast time of 50.67 seconds, securing the top prize of €12,000.

A day earlier, during the first round of the FEI Group 7 final (1.30m), Ozenne (by Comthago) also made her mark. Ridden by Yaqoub Nasser Al Mass, the mare jumped clear to victory in 76.33 seconds. Ozenne is bred by G.M.J. Voesten from Sevenum.

With these three victories, the VDL horses once again underline their international class and versatility, from championship classes to the highest youth level.
