Quasimodo's sire is the well-known Heartbreaker, producer of multiple international jumpers and approved stallions. Grand sire is the valuable stallion Lys de Darmen.
His full brother Action Breaker was 11th at the WEG in Kentucky and placed 3rd in the Aachen Grand Prix.
Quasimodo van de Molendreef has been a Grand Prix jumper with both David Jobertie and Jaime Azcarraga. He won the Grand Prix of Lons le Saunier, was 3rd in the GP of Vigo, 4th in the finals of the Sires of the World in Den Bosch, 2nd in the Sires of the World in Mechelen etc.
Offspring of Quasimodo van de Molendreef are successful in sport. The best known is Hello Sanctos, who, ridden by Scott Brash, held the #1 position in world show jumper rankings. Hello Sanctos wrote history by winning the Rolex Grand Slam. Thanks to his consecutive victories in the Grand Prix competitions of Geneva, Aachen and Spruce Meadows, Hello Sanctos earned the 1 million euro Grand Slam bonus. In addition, Hello Sanctos was two-time victor in the Global Champions Tour; won team gold at the Olympic Games in London 2012; Team Gold and Individual Bronze in the European Championships in Herning 2013. Those were the toppings on the cakes of countless major Grand Prix competition wins.
Other offspring are not in the shadows. Ridden by Alexander Onishenko, Comte d’Arsouilles attended the Olympic Games in London 2012. The pair also won the Nations Cups at Drammen and Linz. Dauphin de Muze was successful in the United States, placing 2nd in the Grand Prix of Los Angeles and 10th in the World Cup at Thermal. Colore placed 9th in the GP Lier. El Santo placed 8th in the GP Rio de Janeiro. Gloria van de Barlebuis won multiple international classes - among them the GP Villers Vicomte Breteuil and the GP Hardelot. Gracile won the final of the 6-year olds in Mechelen. Others competing at international level are: Daiquiri van de Moortelshoeve, Duc d’Arsouilles, Emorkus RE, Flying Dutchman, Jewel’s Carat, Bellano van de Bosbeek, Heartbreaker, Zidane and RMF Valiente.
At the mare and foal shows, his offspring also perform well: LO Sanctos van de Suydersee placed 9th in the final of the National Foal Championship and also was Champion of the provincial foal show.
Kilimanjaro was Champion of the foal show in Harich and 8th in the final of the National Foal Championship. Hetwiggy scored 85 points for free jumping. In 2014, Jack Daniel’s JB was 7th and Joline St 11th in the final of the National Foal Championship.
Daughter Fifa Paoloa sold for € 65.000 at the Jumping Talent Sale and Quasi Shura was sold for
€ 16.000 as a foal and was the most expensive show jumping foal at the Elite Foal Auction of Vechta in 2014.
Quasimodo van de Molendreef has brought several approved stallions. Iglesias D.V. and Harvey vh Vossenhol are approved by Zangersheide and Quasimodo Cavalier was crowned Champion of the Stallion Show in Mecklenburg.
The BWP Studbook has honored Quasimodo van de Molendreef as ‘Ambassador’.

Spruce Meadows - Amalia, a descendant of Arezzo VDL, from Kyacinthe ster pref prest of Emilion, breeder VDL Stud, won the 1.40m Friends of the Meadows YH 7y / o with Daniel Coyle. With Farell (v. Cardento) he became fifth in the Grand Prix.
Farona (Baltic x Lux) was placed as 2nd in the 1.60m Nations Cup during CSI Wellington. Farano is sold by VDL in the WEF sporthorse auction and is ridden by Daniel Coyle.
Dominka vd Lucashoeve (Cardento x Chin Chin) and Luis Sabino Goncalves became 3rd in the Grand Prix of Vilamoura, Portugal.
Three horses from the VDL Stud qualified for the finals of the FEI World Championship of the 5 year old jumpers in Lanaken. Highest placed was Irvington VDL (Dallas x Quick Star), ridden by Alex Gill.
Offspring of VDL Stallions were succesful in the Wolden Cup, a competition for 4- and 5-year old jumpers in the North of Holland.

BML di Luca NL (Quasimodo vd Molendreef x Belisar) and Emma Haag became 3rd in the J-A Grand Prix of Flyinge, Sweden. Haricott (Cardento x Maraton), ridden by Klara Lewin, became 10th .
Parette (Pessoa VDL x Barinello) and Lisa Carlsen became 4th in the Grand Prix of Wellington, Florida, during the 8th week of the WEF.

H&M Flip’s Little Sparrow (Cardento x Robin I Z) and Stephanie Holmén won the Grand Prix of Ciekocinko at the Baltica Summer Tour in Poland. They also became 3rd in a 1.45m class.
Romée Rose van de Dorpshoeve (Quasimodo vd Molendreef x Ludona Van De Dorpshoeve) became 5th at the BWP National Foal Championship in Belgium.
