Sire Casall was placed individually fourth at the World Equestrian Games and the European Championship, and won several Grand Prix’s and World Cups. Grandsire is the ‘Preferent’ stallion Emilion, a World Cup winner himself and producer of winners at the Grand Prix level such as Tomboy, Seldana, Ukinda, VDL Emmerton and many more. Next in the pedigree line comes two stallions that anchor most jumper breeding, Cor de la Bryere and Alme. They produced such famous names as: Caletto I and II, Corrado, Corland, Jalisco B and Galoubet A.
Zavall’s dam line is a proven Hanoverian line, which brought the Grand Prix winner and approved stallion Orame as well as the international jumpers Dorena II, Haleska, Mr.Itt and Zetor. Zavall’s dam is the ‘Elite and Prestatie’ mare Remilia. She is also dam of the Grand Prix jumper Merlin.
As a 6-year-old Zavall qualified with two clear rounds for the finals of the World Jumping Championship at Lanaken, and was Champion of the KWPN Stallion Competition 1.30m/1.35m class. With Jur Vrieling Zavall is successfully competing at international level. Last year he won the Derby of Falsterbo and was second in the Grand Prix of CSI De Wolden as well as second in the stallion class at Jumping Mechelen, was third place at the Los Angeles Masters, third in the 1.50m in Rome, fourth in the 1.45m in Barcelona, fourth in the 1.40m in Rome, fourth in the 1.45m in Arnhem, fifth in the 1.50m in Falsterbo, sixth in the 1.40m of Melsomvik, seventh in the 1.45m of Melsomvik, etc. In 2013 Zavall placed third in the Grand Prix of Vestfold and as an eight years old he won the GP of Drammen (Silver Tour) and the Small Tour-final in Vestfold. He was also third in the 1.50m Verona, third in the 1.40m Zuidwolde, fourth in the 1.40m Drachten, fifth in the 1.40m Gijon, fifth in the 1.45m Verona, sixth in the 1.50m Hamburg, eight in the 1.50m Gijon, ninth in the 1.45m Hamburg and tenth in the 1.50m Verona. He also took seventh in the 1.50m Queen Cup of Barcelona in 2013.
Zavall’s offspring are living up to expectations. In competitions they impress with their reflexes and take-off. In England an offspring of Zavall was Champion of the four year old jumpers. Di Zigeunerin won the final of the Roelofsen Raalte Salland Cup at 1.20m. She scored 87 points for the IBOP test and was third at the National Mare Show in Ermelo. Digereedoo was fifth at the Dutch Championship at 1.20m, and was sold for $130,000 at the WEF Sport Horse Auction.
In 2012 Ealba VDL was 3rd at the National Championship for 3 year old mares and at her studbook inspection she received 90 points for free-jumping. Darlinde DN was Reserve Champion of the Jumper Foals at the National Foal Championship, and as a 3 yr. old was Drenthe Provincial Mare Champion.

G-Vingino-Blue (by Zirocco Blue) was twice the first to finish in Lamprechtshausen, in the Table A competition over 1.40 meters.
Zafou Hold Up Premier (Hold Up Premier x Nimmerdor) and Blanca Gil Olive became 4th in the Grand Prix of Blaye, France.
Good result for Davall (Zavall VDL x Indorado) and Ernesto Canseco, they became 4th in the Grand Prix of Den Goubergh. Abbervail Lightning (Douglas x Chairlift XX), ridden by Claudia Verburght, placed 2nd.
Dobbey (Zirocco Blue x Grosso Z) and Lars Kersten won the U25-A Grand Prix of Lichtenvoorde. Carefull (Carolus II x Zeus), ridden by Niels Kersten, placed 10th.
