Our stallions Orleans and Chicago Blue are both approved by Holstein and the Hannover Verband.
Orleans was already approved by the KWPN but now also by 2 German studbooks. With the approval of Orleans VDL, VDL Stud has once again secured an interesting stallion from one of the best lines at the moment. Orleans VDL is a son of the acclaimed Conthargos out of the Heartbreaker daughter Happy Days Z - the full sister of the progenitor Hardrock Z. Sire Conthargos is one of the leading stallions of the moment; Conthargos' offspring stand out because of their scope, quality at the jump and attitude. Meanwhile, dozens of Conthargos offspring are jumping at Grand Prix level, including the Olympic Cosa Nostra, Call Me Baby Quick PS, Carlotta, Concona and Celine. Furthermore, Orleans VDL combines the greats Heartbreaker and Carthago is his outstanding pedigree.
Chicago Blue VDL is thus a son of Chacco Blue, number one in the WBFSH Sire Ranking for many years. Besides his own sporting career at the highest level, Chacco Blue produced an almost endless list of 1.60m show jumpers; the most famous is without a doubt reigning Olympic champion Explosion W ridden by Ben Maher. In fact, Chicago Blue is a direct son of top mare Cella, who belonged to the world top under Ben Maher. This makes Chicago Blue VDL's granddam the legendary Usha van 't Roosakker - one of the most successful broodmares of the past decades.
Both stallions are at stud at Völz in Germany, for our Dutch breeders order the semen 1 day in advance to avoid disappointment.
