VEJER DE LA FRONTERA - Kilkenny (Cardento x Guidam) and Cian O'Connor (IRE) shone again this weekend in the CSI3* Grand Prix over 1.50m in Vejer de la Frontera (ESP). With two clear rounds and a fast time, they took second place. Just last week, Kilkenny and O'Connor won the Grand Prix over 1.50m in Oliva.
The highly successful 10-year-old Kilkenny was bred by Sinead Brennan (IRE).
Imperial HBF (Glasgow van 't Merelsnest x Original VDL), ridden by Tim Gredley (GBR), finished fifth in this competition. Last week Imperial HBF and Gredley finished sixth in the Oliva Grand Prix over 1.50m. Laura Tinto (GBR) of the HBF Stud bred Imperial HBF.
Jirsinaa (Arezzo VDL x Indoctro) and Peter Bleiker Jr (SUI) were unbeatable in Vejer in the CSI2* competition over 1.30m. In the 1.40m they also stayed clear and the final result was good for fourth place. S & I.G.R. van der Meer (NED) bred Jirsinaa.
Karonia L (Harley VDL x Ramiro Z), bred by Th. Lemmers (NED) and ridden by Rodrigo Giesteira Almeida (POR) won the young horse class for seven-year-olds over 1.35m.
