Ireland VDL (Zapatero VDL x Indorado) wins CSI2* Grand Prix in San Remo

SAN REMO  - Ireland VDL (Zapatero VDL  x Indorado), the homebred, nine-year-old gelding from the mare Anolivia VDL (Indorado x Nimmerdor), has won the CSI2* 1.45m-Grand Prix in San Remo (ITA) under rider Massimo Grossato (ITA).

In May this year, Ireland VDL was fourth in the 1.45m Grand Prix of Tortona (ITA). He put the 1.40m in name and in another 1.40m Grand Prix in Tortona, Ireland VDL and Grossato became very nice second.

Ireland VDL was previously also successful in the Young Horse competitions in Spain.

With Lagegonda FZ (Carrera VDL x Zirocco Blue VDL x Corland), Massimo Grossato greatly succeeded in the Young Horse competitions  in San Remo. They managed to name the 1.25m competition and this combination became second in another 1.25m competition F. Wetemans, Heythuysen (Ned) bred Lagegonda FZ.

The provisional Keur mare La Vie Est Belle (Zirocco Blue x Indoctro), bred by M. van Kleef / Van Kleef Stud, was fourth in the 1.25m once and once fifth under Luigi Crespi (ITA).

In the CSI2* 1.45m Grand Prix in San Remo, Oscar-A (Harley VDL x VDL Cardento x Chin Chin) and the British rider Sameh El Dahan became sixth. Oscar-A was bred by Luc Aerts (BEL).
