Last Sunday the Hickstead 4* Derby took place. Only two combinations managed to clear the Derby, including Flamboyant III (by Cardento). The Cardento son, bred by A.C. Trip- van IJzeren, became second in the prize-giving with William Whitaker. Finishing in 5th place were Irving VG (by Dallas) bred by G. Vos and ridden by Christopher Franks and Harthornhill (by Cardento) bred by Jerry Quinn and ridden by Geoff Curran.
On Saturday, Icaterina (by Durango) managed to finish in a nice second place with Joe Whitaker in the 1.45m. The Durango daughter is bred by the Radstake.
