During the CSI2* competition at Borgo La Caccia – Bedizzole (ITA), offspring of VDL stallions once again achieved excellent results.
In the 1.40m class, the third qualifier for the CSI2 Grand Prix*, Kallmar VDL, a son of Carrera, jumped his way to a fine second place. Riden by the Italian rider Elia Simonetti, the pair remained clear in both rounds and clocked a fast finishing time of 35.00 seconds. Kallmar VDL was bred by H.B. Dirksen & M.A. Hijlkema from Tirns.
The VDL bloodline also enjoyed success in the young horse classes. In the class for 5-year-olds, victory went to Jar Boy, a son of Arezzo. Ridden by the Italian rider Elia Villotti, the pair produced a convincing clear round, enabling them to hold off the competition.
