James Billington competed this weekend with 4 young VDL horses at the CSI 2* Asten. He competed with the stallions Baltic VDL (Quaprice x Jus de Pomme), Carrera VDL (Cardento x Baloubet du Rouet) and Bowmore VDL (Chin Chin x Cantus) and also took the mare Celena VDL (Mr. Blue x Chin Chin) to the show. The results were great.
Celena VDL won the final of the Youngster Tour on Sunday and also jumped clear on Friday and Saturday.
Also Bowmore VDL competed in the Youngster Tour and he jumped 3 clear rounds, on Friday he was placed 8th.

Baltic VDL jumped great and made 3 clear rounds in 1.30m/1.35m classes and placed 4th on Saturday in a 1.35m class. Also Carrera VDL jumped fantastic and made 2 clear rounds.

4th 1.35m: Bamira M (Chin Chin x Calvados), ridden by Roosje Brouwer
7th 1.45m: Hoek’s Vrauke (Corland x Renville), ridden by Anne van Vulpen
5th 1.35m: Caramelle KLT (Cardento x Celebration), ridden by Danielle Farnsworth



Celena VDL is bred by the VDL Stud out of the Chin Chin-mare Welena VDL (picture), who was as a 3 year old mare National Champion Freejumping.
