The offspring of the VDL stallions have once again delivered outstanding performances at the CSI3* in Opglabbeek (Belgium). Victory was claimed by VDL offspring at both the 1.50m and 1.35m levels.
The finest victory went to Mendoza VDL (by Harley), who, under American rider Elena A. Haas, impressively won the qualifying class for the 1.50-metre Grand Prix. The VDL-bred Harley son remained clear and clocked the fastest time of 61.88 seconds, securing victory and prize money of €7,050.
VDL offspring also took the top spot on the podium in the 1.35m class. My Granta (by Glasgow van 't Merelsnest), ridden by the Spaniard Mariano Martinez Bastida, completed two clear rounds and was unbeatable with a jump-off time of 30.29 seconds. The chestnut mare was bred by R. Rouweler.
