During the international five-star show in Basel (St. Jakobshalle), our horses delivered strong performances at the very highest level. The highlight of the weekend was the 5th place for Comthago VDL in the Longines Grand Prix of Basel, while Equine America Harwich VDL achieved an impressive 3rd place in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™.

In the 1.60m Grand Prix, Comthago VDL performed excellently under Hessel Hoekstra, finishing in a strong fifth place. Comthago VDL was bred by Wilhelm Kochs (GER).

In addition to Comthago VDL, three more offspring of VDL stallions placed in the top ten of this prestigious Grand Prix:

The successful weekend reached an additional highlight on Sunday, when Equine America Harwich VDL, together with Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen, secured an excellent 3rd place in the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™. The home-bred son of Arezzo VDL jumped clear in both the first round and the jump-off, confirming his outstanding form at World Cup level.

There was also success in the U25 classes, where Goldenstar VDL, a son of Bacardi VDL, claimed victory on Saturday with Albert Pisarik.
