El Jadida (MAR), 3 October 2025 – Two direct offspring of VDL stallions took the top spots in the 1m50 Grand Prix qualifier.
The victory went to Julius.D (by Arezzo), ridden by Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA). The combination jumped a lightning-fast and clear round in 63.32 seconds. Julius.D is a breeding product of H. van Dael from Kelpen-Oler (NED).
Second place went to Hulahupe Jr (by Bubalu VDL) with Joe Whitaker (GBR). This combination also remained faultless, in a time of 63.85 seconds. Hulahupe Jr is bred by J. Reitsma from Driezum (NED).
With both top places in an international 1m50 class, the offspring of Arezzo VDL and Bubalu VDL once again demonstrate that they not only have the ability, but also the speed and sharpness needed to perform at the highest level.
