Harley’s sire line exists of three international jumping stallions in a row: Heartbreaker, Carthago and Caletto I. They are the fathers of multiple international jumping horses and approved stallions like Toulon, Mylord Carthago, Countess G and Cantus.
Dam, Larthago, won with M. van Asten at several 1.40 m and 1.50 m classes. Larthago is also mother of Cevin Z, who jumps in 1.50 m classes and who is approved by the AES studbook. A half sister of Harley’s dam produced Caritano Z, who is approved by the Zangersheide studbook.
Harley VDL jumps with willingness, take-off and technique. He has exemplary show results with Jessica Kuerten. At the KWPN stallion approvals in Den Bosch he handily won the VHO Trofee! Harley won international classes at La Coruna, Aalst and at Outdoor Gelderland. He placed 2nd in the Sainte Cecile Grand Prix and took 3rd place in the Neurenberg Grand Prix. As a 7-yr. old he won the stallion competition 1.30m/1.35m classes.
His offspring jump with scope, are fast from the ground and having a very good technique. They are in great demand by agents and riders. In competition there are some striking results by his offspring: Hidalgo placed 3rd in the Dutch Championship of the 4-yr. old jumpers; and Aapje won a Young Jumper class at Roggel and was qualified for the Dutch Championship finals. Healey Z placed 3rd in the Free Jumping competition at Zangersheide. Son Harmony is approved at the NRPS Studbook and is highly placed in Young Jumpers’ competitions. Cloe was winner of one of the VION Cup selection rounds and Cross won the Hendrix competition 2011.
His daughter Elrinda was Champion of the 2-yr. old Jumper Mares at the mare show of Friesland
