Bred from the Holstein line 2067, which produced the Champion stallion Canto and the Holstein Stallion Test Champion Catoo, Westminster is expected to bring good blood for sport into the gene pool.
Westminster’s sire Heartbreaker, with his multi-studbook Approvals and his own sport record, leads off the prominent sire line - Nimmerdor, Silvano and Uppercut xx all known for their contribution for proven jumpers.
Dam, ster mare Narcisse, is sired by Fedor (sire of Karandasj) by Darco (International jumper and approved in nine studbooks for his sport and progeny results).
Westminster’s Grand dam ‘Keur, Preferent’ Cirkeness is sired by Ahorn Z by Alme’ and is also the grand dam of Budweiser. Great grand dam, a full sister of Lovely Boy (N. Koof), is a Holstein Premium mare by the famous Landgraf - Ladykiller xx. The line continues further to foundation sire Ramzes.
Not to be forgotten is the full brother of Westminster, Romanov, ridden by P. Spivey to top results at Aachen and Spruce Meadows.
Westminster was used in Brazil breeding and sport through the end of 2010. He is currently ridden by Cameron Hanley, preparing him for the international levels.
Westminster is only available via frozen semen due to his competition schedule.
