Callahan’s sire is Contendro I, a son of Contender. Contendro I is one of Germany’s best Jumping Sires. Grandsire For Pleasure was first in many Grand Prix and won Gold at the Olympic Games. For Pleasure is also sire of the Grand Prix jumpers: Farina, For Fun, For Keeps and many more. The stallion Argentan is one of Hannovers most important sires, he is on the base of sires like Argentinus.
Granddam Ascona was the 3 year old Champion mare of Germany. Callahan’s full sister Cascade was the 4 year old Hanoverian Champion of Free Jumping. Callahan’s full brother Corintho VMC was approved Hanoverian in 2006. Other horses from the same family are the sports horses Wera (N. Skelton) and Luigi (O. Becker).
Callahan scored 8-8 in the jumping test and the testriders gave him 9-9! In the Swedish Championship for 4 year old jumping horses, Callahan placed 9th (out of 150). As a 5 year old, Callahan was also qualified for the National Championship. In 2009 Callahan was Swedish Champion of the 6 year old jumpers. He did this convincingly by jumping the classification and the final clear rounds. He also had the fastest time in the jump-off.
