Hermitage verrichtingen 2015

Hermitage is already the fifth KWPN approved son of the world famous Zirocco Blue. Ridden by Jur Vrieling Zirocco Blue belongs to world’s best and as a highlight last year the successful combination earned the team gold medal and the individual fifth placing at the European Championships in Aachen. As a sire the son of Mr. Blue is a foundation sire in the making, with offspring like Dutch champion of the five-year-old showjumpers and KWPN approved stallion Florian, the outstanding developing KWPN approved stallion Durango VDL and many great talents knocking on the door towards the international showjumping ring. Hermitage’s grandsire Colino and great-grandsire Landon add the valuable German genes of Capitol I and Landgraf to his pedigree.

Dam Ostara was awarded ‘Keur and Preferent’ by the KWPN and scored only 8s for her jumping qualities in the performance test. In addition, she already produced some successful showjumpers and granddam Karina jumped successfully at 1.30m level.

Palmares

One of the characteristics of offspring by Zirocco Blue is their unlimited ability, which also applies for Hermitage. The impressing grey stallion stands out due to his push from the floor and enormous jumping ability, which he combines with excellent reflexes. Hermitage really deserved the 82.5 points he scored in the KWPN Performance Test. For technique, ability and talent as a showjumper he even scored an 8.5. His powerful canter, quick reflexes and nice rideability and attitude were rewarded with an 8.
