At the International Stallionshow in Zwolle the VDL Stallions did very well at the first round of this competition. VDL Sarantos (Emilion x Larome), ridden by Jur Vrieling, was competing in a 1.20 m class. They did very well and they won. The 2nd place was also by a VDL offspring, Sir Corland (by Corland). The 7th place in this class was for VDL Empire (Emilion x Lord Calando), ridden by Robert Vos. VDL Sydney (Goodtimes x Alasca), ridden by Marcel de Boer, became 9th.

Broere VDL Pacific (Corland x Nimmerdor) was competing with his rider Wout Jan van der Schans in a 1.30 m class. They won this class. In a 1.10 m class VDL Tenerife (Raphael x Ahorn), ridden by Jur Vrieling,  became 5th. VDL Taloubet (Baloubet du Rouet x Silvio II), ridden by Patrick van der Schans, became 7th.
